I am a Jack of many trades, master of none. Too many interests to be a master of one.
As a storyteller, I believe you can do almost anything with the right words. I love a good pun or a witty turn of phrase.
In my experience, good copy doesn’t only tell you about a product - although it is essential that it does that - but also inspires emotion and action, whether it’s getting a donation or selling a lifestyle.
I write genre plays that explore issues of inequity. I strive to create characters that speak to the larger issues we face while spinning an interesting yarn. Theater and storytelling have been my sanctuary my whole life and I want to bring that to others.
My goal for going freelance is to invest time in more of my interests and skills for organizations that cannot afford a full-time employee but want to stay connected to their community.
I was born and raised in Chicago where I received a B.F.A. in Playwriting from The Theatre School at DePaul University.
I worked with many theaters in Chicago and Minneapolis in various fields including education, literary, marketing, development, ticketing, & guest services.
I have also worked and volunteered for non-profits in housing, mental health, and animal services. Up until the summer of 2022 I was working full-time in development.
I traveled a lot before 2020, and hope to be travelling more.
I now live in the Twin Cities with my husband and adorable dog.
