A dive bar. A few regulars sit around. Bartender SARAH cleans the bar. GINA comes from the kitchen.
GINA
It is dead here.
SARAH
We’ve got Bill and Stevie and Jordan are all here. And I heard Janice is coming after work.
GINA
Sarah, wake up! It’s a Friday night. We have the best happy hour deal in town. We’re losing money by me being here.
SARAH
So you want to go home?
GINA
I think we should close up for the night. For the week. Come on, you heard what the governor said. And apparently so did everyone else.
SARAH
Well if everyone saw it, they would be here because we have one more weekend before we need to close down.
GINA
I’m not talking about the shut down, Sarah. I’m talking about the virus.
SARAH
That’s why-
[while placing a large bottle of hand sanitizer on the bar and presenting it proudly.]
GINA
Hey, ya’ll! Would you rather have one more weekend here? Or would you like us to be able to open back up when the order ends?
JORDAN
Is it one or the other?
GINA
At this rate…
JORDAN
