Challenge: Companion Play
We are going to step away from MARCIA and FIONA again and writing a companion for a Shakespearian Play
NESSA, ORLA, and SLAINE meet in an Irish bog with a caldron, boiling with heat and magic.
ORLA
Our sisters across the strait set mayhem into motion
SLAINE
We will show more power here with just a minor potion
NESSA
Forget depending on mere mortals to bring about a coupe
ORLA
With one drop on the king’s lips, our country starts anew.
SLAINE
The pact is set. Our path is clear. We leave now with work. When we are done we gather here.
NESSA
I will meet with the king, in the guise of his love. Offer him a sip of wine with foxglove.
ORLA
My job is to fake a friendship with the king’s first wife, turn her and her children against oncoming strife.
SLAINE
And I will meet with Bedouins in the mountains to the west, let them know should they attack their movements will be blessed.
NESSA
Our mission completed to bring peace all across our land will be will be secured without a human’s hand.
ORLA
And when we gather hence a new day will begin, one where rulers are lead by justice rather than just sin.
