RICKY

SIMON

BARRY

SIMON
He doesn’t have to bring him up every time we’re trying to toast each other.

BARRY

SIMON
Or maybe because he’s around friends for the first time in several months, he could lighten up.

SHELLY
Come on, now. Who are you to tell Ricky how to grieve? Who have you ever lost?

SIMON

RICKY
I’m sorry, Sy’s right. I should just -

BARRY
No, Simon’s not right and he’s not getting away with bullying you away! This is the first time you’ve come out in ages. If anyone should be running away with their tail between their legs it’s him.

SIMON
Fine. You know what, I will. Apparently I’m not in the mood for company anyway.
