Today’s prompt was mascots. So how did I get this?
Mascots> In Japan everything has a mascot - cities, concepts, etc. kind of like saints in Catholicism> Saints are mascots? > What would Chicago’s mascot be? > What would a Thanksgiving be like with the Mascots of different cities coming together? > Pizza for some reason? > back to Thanksgiving… > representations of cities I know relatively well having Thanksgiving together.

MINNIE and PAUL, the twins, set the table for Thanksgiving. They are having a non-verbal battle about who can set the table fastest but also best. AUNTIE CHI peaks into the dining room on her way to baste the turkey.

MINNIE & PAUL
Nothing Aunt Chi.
MINNIE
Just setting the table.
PAUL
We want it to look perfect for dinner tonight.
AUNTIE CHI
Alright, well, don’t go causing any trouble. We’re having enough trouble with your Great Uncle Dallas and Aunt Enid not coming because their upset we wanted to have this be a vaccinated event. Don’t need you two fighting.
MINNIE & PAUL
Yes, Auntie Chi.
AUNTIE CHI
I know you guys are going through some… growing pains. But even though Minnie is bigger and Paul has more responsibilities, doesn’t mean you can’t still come together.
MINNIE & PAUL

Look at me, lecturing you when I still get into fights with York and Angel over which of us is the favorite. You’re both good kids. You’ll figure it out.

That depends! By gravy do you mean sauce?

(You might be wondering, did I come up with the complex family tree for this? The answer is yes. It came to me after most of this was written so it doesn’t totally abide by the rules but I do have it now so who knows.)
